Strut Motors crafts playful, modular electric vehicles that fuse fun with autonomy technology—pioneering right-sized solutions for America’s evolving transportation needs. As the company’s Creative Director, Marlon leads all creative efforts, blending his automotive design expertise, prototyping skills, and brand strategy to shape Strut’s vehicles.
CONCEPT

The first prototype from Strut Motors, named Venice Beach, was designed to demonstrate the platform's capabilities. This model was developed as an LSV specifically for the Sun Belt region, targeting cities like Los Angeles, Miami, and other areas with similar climates.
To enhance both the vehicle and the overall user experience, the donor vehicle's geometry was improved with a new air-assisted suspension system. Additionally, the ergonomics were optimized to comfortably accommodate six adults.
PROTOTYPE
The vehicle fabrication was done in-house at the Newlab facilities, utilizing a range of techniques including welding, CNC machining, 3D printing, composite layup, aluminum fabrication, plastics, and rapid prototyping..

During NYC Climate Week, the Strut team unveiled their first driving prototype to the world. The vehicle was an instant hit, with its playful design and high-quality craftsmanship garnering immediate positive reactions.
