For this project, the automotive designer Antonio Marinella engaged in a search for a skilled designer. The purpose was to develop a restomod for CAV (Cape Advanced Vehicles) and breathe new life into the iconic Ford GT40 through reinterpretation of its 1960 MK2. Presented here are the creative endeavors of Marlon, capturing the journey from an initial sketch to a direction that paved the way for the vehicle's advancement in prototyping.

One of the primary challenges encountered during the project was the use of a modern vehicle with a different wheelbase as the base model. However, thanks to the accessibility of the Audi R8, it became the preferred donor vehicle for the project. Numerous iterations of the vehicle's design were explored to elevate the architecture of the Mark 2 while preserving the Audi R8's geometry.

Antonio Marinella initially guided the vehicle's direction, which was then fine-tuned based on the client's feedback. This iterative process of collaboration allowed the project to naturally evolve into its final form. Nevertheless, the project required a clean slate, and this is when Marlon assumed leadership of the creative process.

Leading sketch
After collaborating with the CAV engineering team, we presented the final sketch to the client. The vehicle will be manufactured in 2024, playing a pivotal role in showcasing CAV's bespoke models. Meticulously crafted and innovative.
